Exterior painting in Yakima and Central Washington

Proper surface preparation and a coating built to stand up to the elements, from the first wash to the last awning back on the wall.

Chapter 01

On an exterior, the prep is the job.

Brent Daily wrote that the exterior of his house "was in bad shape" and that he was "pretty sure some areas of siding and trim would need replacement." The crew's "careful and thorough prep work" changed that, and in his words every part of the home looks great.

Prep means washing, scraping, sanding, caulking and priming bare wood before any colour goes on. It is what UBG means by proper surface preparation, and it is why Jean Smith could say, "The prep work was done well so that the paint will last."

Colour and coating chosen for the weather.

UBG describes its exterior work as proper surface preparation and premium coating, so the results "stand up to the elements and boost curb appeal." A paint job outside has to hold up to sun, wind and winter long after the ladders are gone.

Eddy Hernandez and his family had just put on a new roof and decided to paint the house next. They had collected "50 plus business cards" before a tip sent them to UBG LLC, where the crew came by to verify and sample the colours with them before carrying out the project.

Chapter 03

Moving day, painting days, and putting it all back.

A finished exterior is washed, repaired, sealed and painted, with the awnings and furniture put back where they were.

At Brent Daily's house the crew moved large outdoor furniture, took down mounted awnings, prepped, painted and put everything back "in less than 9 work days." The project manager even texted on a Friday afternoon, offering to finish the trim over the weekend or start again on Monday.

Pace changes with the house. Yaritzy Ortiz wrote that their 1600 SQft home "was painted in about two days", and Jean Smith's job ended with the line, "Everything was sealed, painted, stained with attention to detail."
